"When you learnt how to read a book, learn how to read its contents, not just by its attractive cover."- Dillon. TThere's two things I want to blog about today, since I'd the time and efforts to do so.
Firstly, I managed to met up with Susi last night to pass her a book that she used to borrow me in preparation for my O's level. I actually felt very guilty because I delayed the return of the book for so long! Thank God the book is still in one piece. (LOL) We chatted for a hour plus, before I head home to game with the others. Through our conversation, I realized several things.
1. Studying is not hard, it all depends on one's self-discipline and willingness. Be a little more thick-skinned, take the initiative to ask the teachers if you're unclear on some questions. Revise at home to recap what you have learnt today and you'll achieved great results. Why don't I have those kind of mindset in the past? If I'd study a little harder, perhaps I might enrolled into the same school as most of my clique were.
2. She's a comfortable friend to talk to. Although her University stuffs is driving her crazy, but she's always willing to lend an listening ear, share her experiences and thoughts on several perspective and stuffs. I remembered when I first collected my O's result, she was the first I called to share my results with other than my sister. Why? During the O's level period, she's one of them who willing to sacrifice her time for me, other than my "sisters"! She coached me Maths and Science though I still didn't managed to pass in the end... Sorry... Haha.
3. Learn how to be practical. Find something to study that is useful to your future. She had the exact mindset of one of my sister. Design course is not going to help you get a better job in the future, get something practical, like business course. The reason why business course are in demand are because it's useful, right? The reason why business course are in demand are also because if you study business, you'll end with with many several job opportunities such as banking, sales and stuffs, unlike design course that chose only excel in one area.
Through talking to her, I get some enlightenment and lights about RP! You know, actually I'm carrying the hope of getting into an university with a RP cert. I mean, that's not impossible right? I'll work hard for it and prove those who think I can't wrong. Perhaps I might get into NIE after my poly and army if my GPA allows me to. If not.... I think I'll pick up photography and become a journalist and travel around the world in the near future!
So... Thanks Susi! I guess I'd learnt a lot from you. Good luck with your University things! Feel free to chat with me with regards to anything!
Secondly, do you guys ever wondered why I like
yellow? To me, yellow is more than just a colour, it symbolize a greater meaning.
Firstly, when you think of yellow, the fruit that comes to your mind must be lemons. Under the influence of yeap best friend, ice lemon tea has become one of my favourite drink now. It's a specially brewed-tea with some additional piece of lemons I think and she love it a lot.
Since I love sweet and sour stuffs, lemon has become a must-try flavour when a new type of sweet is launched. As such, one of my favourite sweet now has become an item I've collected!
I meant those lemon-flavoured lakerol. I don't really give a damn about the other flavour since lemon taste best in my opinion. And guess what? I've collect over 100+ of lakerol boxes up till now and it's still increasing as the days get on! If you buy me 100 boxes of lakerol, I can probably finish them in less than a month. ^^
Next, I felt relaxed when I see yellow. Why? Yellow in my eyes represent the sun and the beach. Would you feel relaxed if you're at a beach? Normally people would visit the beach during weekends to enjoy a day break, or to have a good time with their family. On the beach, you can see many sexy boys and girls playing volleyball and stuffs. Of course, I admire and envy those hunks because they had the desired body I always been wanting to have. But since I'm so skinny..... And no matter how much I tried to eat, forget it.. So I guess it can only remained as an admiration. Of course, looking at chio bu's is a must there!!
Finally, I'd always been wanting to give an impression to my friend that I'm cheerful. And yellow appears as it seems, a smiley face!
I want them to feel that way so they could feel free to pour out their worries and share with me. Why? Because I'm always positive minded!
